Our organization is proud to be a part of the Global Career Connect Program, a key initiative by the TANSAM unit of the Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation, Government of Tamil Nadu.
Sahasras Preschool Excellence: Our flagship Sahasras Preschool in Medavakkam, with a strength of over 200 students, has been successfully nurturing young minds for the past ten years. We are proud to be approved by the Tamil Nadu government, ensuring quality foundational education.
Skill Development for Self-Help Groups (SHGs): For a decade, Sahasras has been a cornerstone in providing vital education and skill development training to thousands of SHG members, directly benefiting over 1,000 individuals and enhancing their livelihoods. This includes specialized training, such as empowering 200 SHG members in communication skills, general skill development, and videography.
Free Skill Training with Nehru Yuva Kendra: In association with Nehru Yuva Kendra (Ministry of Youth Affairs, Government of India), Sahasras is dedicated to offering free skill development training programs, opening doors to new opportunities for youth.
Competitive Exam Coaching: In collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Wakf Board, Sahasras has provided free training programs for competitive exams like UPSC, Group I, Group II, and other related courses, specifically benefiting hundreds of minority community students.
Southern Institute of Professional Studies (SIPS): As a key sub-unit of Sahasras, SIPS imparts specialized training in trade courses affiliated with Mahatma Gandhi University , equipping individuals with industry-relevant skills.
Collaboration with Tamil Nadu Open University (TNOU): Sahasras Educational Trust has actively partnered with TNOU to conduct diverse academic courses in education, skill development, and media fields, expanding access to higher education.
Teacher & Special Education Training: Through our collaboration with Landmark – Tamil Nadu Open University, we have successfully trained over 400 students, specifically focusing on teacher education and the development of special education teachers , addressing critical needs in the educational sector.
Landmark Academy: This training unit, established by Sahasras in association with Tamil Nadu Open University, focused on IT-related activities. Between 2017 and 2020, Landmark Academy successfully trained an astounding 14,000 students, marking a significant impact on digital literacy.
